Bug Description

Minor annoyance:
The panel's drop shadow has disappeared as soon as I installed the propietary nVidia drivers. This did not happen in Natty or Maverick with the elementary theme active. Drop shadow reappears when I set "Visual Effects" in to "none", but is missing again, when set to "normal".

No showstopper but it hurts the absolutely lovely refined look of eOS in my opinion...

Allright, now I'm offically confused about whether there should be a drop shadow or not. The screenshots on elementaryos.org are inconsistent, as are those across the web. Please illuminate me!

confirmed, i believe there should be a drop shadow. but probably this one 'won't be fixed' because the next version of elementary o.s. is not going to use gnome-panel.

Are you using metacity or compiz.
On my natty pc this happens with metacity with or without an elementary theme.
(and it occured before I installed the elementary theme.)
