If there's a good keyboard, let's ship it. If not, I'd rather not ship anything. Just like how we didn't ship a music player last cycle because there wasn't a good one available.

One can install a music player without having a music player installed, but that's not always true for an on-screen keyboard.

To be honest, I have little idea about all this accessibility stuff. Onboard and xcursor-thems are two packages which should be ditched based on my experience, but they may be essential for accessibility somehow.

I wish somebody asked Ubuntu accessibility team about those packages...

OnBoard is hardcoded in Ubiquity and Ubiquity depends on it. I can patch that away probably, but there might be other places where it's hardcoded and IMO removing it is not worth the effort. It won't be discoverable without switching into accessibility mode anyway.

Yes, it should be removed. Me and xapantu are working on preventing slingshot from showing random crap.
