Bug Description

I get a black screen on boot in VirtualBox and on Intel i915 in Luna images based on Oneiric.

It happens because LightDM tries to use a non-existent session "ubuntu". We need to set Pantheon session as default session for auto-login. I haven't figured out how to do it, so I asked in LightDM mailing list.

Workaround: use "build.sh --give-me-console" and change "default-user-timeout=0" to "default-user-timeout=3" in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

Still waiting for reply from LightDM mailing list to commit a real fix.

Forgot to say that once you get to the login screen using the workaround above, you need to switch to session "pantheon" manually and then hit enter. If you don't do it, everything will hang up (bug #803862)

Hotfixed in eBuild. Not marking as fixed because the hotfix is ugly.

The current hotfix breaks on upstream package update which ships lightdm.conf.

Gotwig: I'd say it's worked around. This is not a proper fix for this issue.

one workaround is replacing lightDM with SLiM,
its not a pretty solutiob but it works :)
