Bug Description
The top right popups are misaligned (see attached screenshot), viz. battery and sound. This is a fresh install on a VM. There is also missing space after the battery indicator (presumably for a WiFi/Bluetooth icon), which gets filled when the percentage is toggled.

This is because of the VM. Animations are disabled in non-accelerated VMs and so space is reserved for the element that would have been animated in. You either need to add hardware acceleration to your VM or run on metal.
