Format problem in 'Mail App' and 'File Browser (text does not break / wrap)

Bug Description
Dear Developers of 'elementary OS',
I recently installed 'elementary OS' (Loki) on a Netbook with an 11,6'' Screen (Acer Aspire E11 E3-111).
As this screen is rather small, I installed 'elementary Tweaks' to change the font size (to 14).

It works very well and everything is readable.
Two things got my attention though:
1. File Browser
This is the adjusted size of the file browser app:

However, if I enter the (filled) trash bin folder, the size get distorted (especially the left column with the different folders [Documents, Pictures, Music, Downloads, …]).

And I guess it's because of this red marked line – it is not able to break / wrap. (I don't know the exact word for it – I hope you know what I mean.)

2. Mail App
This is the adjusted size of the mail app:

I tried to give the left column enough space so every folder name is fully readable.
However, if I open a mail with external content (pictures from the web for example), I get the default notification "This mail contains pictures placed in the web" (or something like that - as you can see I did a German installation). The size gets distorted as well. Especially the left column got very slim and is almost unreadable.

Again I guess it's because the red marked line is not able to break / wrap.
I know, in stock 'elementary OS' adjusting font size is not possible, so this problem might not arise at all. But maybe you might consider a fix nonetheless, as I really enjoy this operating system and I find it especially suitable to small screen laptops – if the font size is adjustable.
