acestream doesn't run in elementary os freya 64 bits

the aplication doesn't load stream torrent. This is the error:

Error "Cannot connect to engine. Check if engine installed."

I have found that acestream-engine it is properly installed but not working

I'm facing the same problem here.

I don't know why, but it seems that acestream-engine is not running automatically before the player.

I was able to solve this by running the engine manually from a terminal before opening the player:

acestreamengine --client-console

I also added the command to the startup so I won't need to type it every time.
It worked just fine for me, I hope it will be useful for you.
