Bug Description

I had opened a bug later closed cause i thought that was an eclipse (or java) problem.
But today I have the same problem in Chrome.

The mouse pointer 'action zone' isn't at the arrow's edge, it is most in the center instead.
I attach 2 videos to better explain that.

in the 1st note that the chrome tab button isn't focused when reached by the pointer's edge.
in the 2nd is possible to see that even if i click continuosly the tab isn't switched when the pointer's edge reaches it.

Hope my explanation is clear.

What I have forgot to say is that this problem isn't always present, at boot everything it's ok, the suddenly appears in one or another application.

I've seen this, but I don't know how to reproduce it. It could be an issue with the cursor theme, or with Mutter or Gala.

Elvis, does this happen only after snapping windows to the edge of the display, maximizing, or something similar? I suspect it's actually a window manager issue.

Hi Cassidy, I could reproduce the bug, simply maximizing the window.

1. open chrome
2. maximize the window
3. restore the window
4. note how the mouse pointer action area is messed up.

The strange thing is that after a while returns ok and later another time messed up.

I was able to reproduce the bug on my system (Freya) in Firefox window. And:

5. Minimize the window, then restore - the pointer returns to normal.

Howerver the bug is present.

This is also happening for me, although the effect is only noticeable in Firefox, and not in Chrome, or any of the other programs I have tried (Calendar, Atom, Geary, Music, Files, LibreOffice etc).

I had the problem about six weeks ago, but it fixed itself, and now it has returned. As MikZyth says, minimizing and restoring the window seems to temporarily fix it.

I am confirm the issue..

Especially when Chromium and NetBeans IDE is opened, I realize the bug by moving mouse cursor on opened windows

I agree with Cassidy James that this looks like a window manager issue.

MikZith's minimize-then-restore workaround puts the window back in a noticeably different position, and everything is aligned again.
