Integration of Chromium notifications into eOS notifications

Bug Description

Dear all,

Notifications of some third-party applications such as Spotify properly integrate into the default eOS notification design (see attached screenshot).

Chromium, however, does not do that yet (see attached screenshot). Can Chromium notifications somehow be integrated properly as well?

Thanks for your help!

Robert

Since there are no npapi plugins in chrome anymore you must use something like this.

http://askubuntu.com/questions/465727/activate-chrome-native-notifications

Didn't managed to get this work so if you have success let us know :)

I tried the extenstion Chromify-OSD: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chromify-osd/nmgdlkljbfeeinemfljcbmnkmbeligmn

However, also this one doesn't install because NPAPI plugins are not supported.

The one you are referring to does not install:

/t/host ❯❯❯ ./install.sh
./install.sh: 9: [: Linux: unexpected operator
./install.sh: 12: [: orschiro: unexpected operator
./install.sh: 33: ./install.sh: Bad substitution

I filed a feature request for native OSD notification support in the Chromium bug tracker as I think that this is the best place to continue the discussion.

Closing the report here as there's nothing we can really do to force Chrome to use native notifications.
