Wingpanel not black when maximizing from a snapped window

Bug Description

When snapping window on the side then clicking maximize button, the wingpanel does not switch to solid black.
Snapping on the top seems normal (black wingpanel), so make sure to snap it on the side then maximize it to get the result.

Thank you

I can confirm this behavior. Using firefox, snapping to the edge then hitting maximize winpanel stays transparent.

Should point out this behavior is not limited to Firefox but with any app.

When using multiple monitors, the behavior is also a little bit different.
Setup: laptop + external monitor, external monitor is set as default.
Behavior:
- Maximize window on laptop screen (how this is done does not seem to be important): wingpanel turns dark.
- Snap window on the laptop screen to one of the edges: wingpanel turns dark
- Maximize window on the external monitor: wingpanel stays transparent
- Snap window on the external monitor to one of the edges: wingpanel stays transparent

As previously mentioned, this is not a firefox specific issue. Default elementary apps such as Scratch suffer from this behavior as well.
