media keys (volume keys, etc) require gnome-fallback-media-keys-helper

Bug Description

gnome-settings-daemon dropped media key support a while back, moving this into gnome-shell.

As a result, none of the hotkeys like Vol+/- work in gnome-derivative desktops like Pantheon.

Gnome does provide gnome-fallback-media-keys-helper to restore hotkey support.

In Archlinux, we have an AUR package gnome-settings-daemon-compat that provides this and a few other utilities.

In Launchpad it only seems to be packaged for Zorin OS:

I've been digging rather deep to try and find exactly when this change happened.

Apparently the media key support was made to depend on the presence of gnome-shell, but I can't discern which git-commit actually did this (sometime in 2013 perhaps, affecting gnome 3.8+)
