Could you please look at "htop" monitoring program when your PC is in that state, and show us a screenshot ? Maybe is just a problem with an specific program that is consuming a lot of resources. This can help us to trace it. Thanks you.

Hi. I am attaching a screenshot from the htop monitoring program.

(This happens when the governor is set to either "Performance" or "Ondemand".

Does not occur with "Powersave" but of course it will be very laggy.

The screenshot is with "Ondemand".

I have a similar problem. My computer is an Acer V5-571G with Intel i5 at 1,70Ghz (2,4 with TurboBoost).
In htop it shows a core at 100% while the others stay below 10% most of the time. I think this is the cause of the overheat of my computer. I've tried installing TLP and Thermald and also enabling intel_psate in grub, which helped a bit but i still have higher temperatures than with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Any solution yet?

Thanks!
