Freya Beta1 ISO doesn't contain EFI system partition.

Freya Beta 1 ISO does not contain EFI system partition. When DD'd to a flash drive, the image will not write a fat32 EFI system partition, which is required for booting on a system with (U)EFI. Without this partition, the ISO is unbootable on (U)EFI.

I can not confirm this. I am indeed able to boot from my usb drive into UEFI. However, after the installation the UEFI is broken, but what is not part of this bug report. Invalid report.

The same thing happens to me. Using dd to write the iso to a USB won't let the USB boot into UEFI mode. I have tried everything from UNETBOOTIN to even manually writing the ISO to the USB.

Eduard Gotwig - Are you sure it's loading via UEFI? Grub can't install into the EFI ESP unless Linux is loaded in EFI Mode. The same issue/error will occur if you manually install grub from eOS if/when it installs via MBR. Because it loads via MBR the EFI goodness isn't loaded and thus you cannot install to ESP.

Can confirm. Also affects trying to install a GRUB-less (single-boot) system with rEFInd already installed to the EFI partition.
