Bug Description

I'm running google chrome and even though I choose "keep in dock," after opening the first time, it eventually starts duplicating itself in the dock when opened.

This same issue occurs in gnome shell.

steps to reproduce:
1- install 3rd party app such as chrome or firefox (beta)
2- open app and right-click dock icon, choose "keep in dock"
3- log out and back in again, open app and a second instance will appear in the dock.

This started happening after upgrading. Chrome fires up another icon with ugly low resolution icon. After some more upgrades the icon is now high res, but still appears separately from my docked one.
