Bug Description
The display brightness adjusts based on ambient light, why not subtly adjust the volume based on ambient sound?
This would be great for those situations of "holy crap, I didn't mean to blast my music".

What might pose a problem is the various inputs that might be used at any time. I could use a built-in mic, line-in mic, or USB interface. The volume from these might vary wildly and not reflect ambient noise well. Furthermore, could you clarify when the volume would be adjusted exactly? Would the volume be adjusted on startup and wakeup or at time intervals or what?
