Bug Description
When I boot my PC from the Live CD (I selected Install, not Try out), I get the Elementary background with a completely black window on top.
I can drag the window. I can also interact with the keyboard as I hear my computer react to enters f.e.

The difference is that I do get the a background.
I tried to boot using "nomodeset" and then I could see the window's content. I could install Elementary, but when I did my first boot, I got a blank screen.
I had the same experience on two different machines. Both Pentium 4 HP's. I have no idea of the graphic cards.
What causes these machines to misbehave? Why does the "nomodeset" option fixes it, what does it do?
