Bug Description

Is there a reason we wouldn't want spell check enabled by default in Midori?

This is a regression in Midori, and I tracked it down to commit fd28a425596cf201c9e51e2f0f2402b66a4db54c where the default value was removed for technical reasons (different Vala versions do or don't error).

I'm uncertain how to approach it just yet, I second the work-around in elementary defaults for now until a fix is available.

Wouldn't this be fix released on Midori, I dont seem to have this problem even on a different os than elementary.

I don't see why you're saying this, trunk still is the same, a fresh config without downstream presets doesn't have the default.

Mind you, would be awesome to look into a proper fix.

Yeah IDK why I had said that.
