Hi, as you are using the Beta1 ISO that comes with a 3.2 kernel and you are now running the 3.5 kernel, i think it is a kernel regression. Please select 3.2 kernel in the boot menu and report back if that doesn't fix your problem :)

Same here. (didnt tested the power button switch on/off). A fresh install either. After upgrading to kernel 3.5.0-18 (apt-get dist-upgrade), got the black screen.

Thought that was something with the bumblebee and the new modules built... but i cant confirm that yet.

Got back to kernel 3.2.0-55.

Just in case:

Linux eitaporra 3.2.0-55-generic-pae #85-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 2 14:03:15 UTC 2013 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK107M [GeForce GT 750M] (rev ff)

Followed this tutorial to get bumblebee running: http://elementaryforum.org/forum/how-to/other_aa/3996-nvidia-optimus-drivers-and-tools-installation
