Bug Description

I'm using a PC with a Phenom II X4 965 CPU and an ATI Radeon HD 5750 GPU.

I recently made the switch from Window to Elementary OS but I am having problems with the proprietary ATI drivers .

Without the drivers my CPU usage usually varies from 1% to 20%. But with the drivers one of my CPU's cores is around 80% up to 100% ALL the time.

Without the drivers, most of the apps seem to work fine (The only problem I noticed is VLC playing choppy audio) but I would really like to be able to use Catalyst for monitor color adjustments as well as gaming (Which I haven't yet tried but I guess it wont be very good without the drivers)

There's nothing we can do about this since the drivers are proprietary. You can report a bug to ATI/AMD, though.
