that way it matches with the bell on wingpanel.

I'm pretty sure that the default icon is "dialog-info". But apps should be supplying an icon. If you're seeing the default notification icon, that's a bug.

I think you misunderstood me. I mean the notifications icon (the white plug) in Switchboard this should be replaced by a bell because wingpanel also uses a bell for notifications.
