It would be helpful to include this commonly used button that isn't found on most keyboards

I agree that percentage and other symbol buttons would be helpful (maybe via popup menu or headerbar), but I have never seen a keyboard without %. Shift + 5 usually outputs % symbol. Pretty sure this is on all standard keyboards (US, UK, DE, ES, SI, chromebook...).
