Bug Description

Hi,I just installed a fresh copy of debian 6.0.7 and EHCP 0.30.9.Everything looks ok an runs but he thing is vsftpd will not start.I have been looking around for a fix but still cant find one yet. Ive used the older EHCP 2 before this one an everything worked fine.But after this install vsftpd is the only problem Im having.Does anyone know what could be causing this? I did see that EHCP is using a newer version of vsftpd from some posts Ive seen.Any help will be helpful.

Thanks

Yes the vsftpd issues is well known, but from my understanding a fix has been found, we are just waiting for a new compiled version of EHCP with the fix.

EHCP bug of ftp has another issue in 0.33 release.

If your changed its password, that last line of CHROOT something like in VSFTPD.CONF file is added again...

Please suggest some good fix for it ASAP

that line added by install_lib.php.
open this file, search for function vsftpd_configuration($params){
then, remove that line from it.
restart ehcp.

We are in the process of finding a workaround for vsftpd in newer ubuntu's (after 11.10)

I am reported that the line
"allow_writeable_chroot=YES"
in vsftpd.conf is causing some problems. if you have problem with vsftpd, try to remove it.
