Bug Description
The jobfile format is laid out, but the logic to filter derivation trees is not. It could be as simple as replacing strings, but it should be more knowledgeable about nodes and removing appropriate parentheses.

Fixed in r10.
Further updates should include:
+ implement the remove_children option
+ make the removal of brackets optional (on by default)
