Bug Description

It was proposed before for beta 5 (https://launchpad.net/edgy-backports/+bug/74770), let's think about it again for beta 6.
Same reason as before: It should be backported to edgy because edgy is running an earlier beta.

It b/i here but doesn't run, and gaim-guifications for beta6 doesn't backport...

-1, but I'm probably doomed when it comes to Gaim :'(

To resolve the problem with nautilus-sendto:

sudo prevu gaim-dev
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install gaim-dev
sudo apt-get build-dep nautilus-sendto
sudo apt-get source -b nautilus-sendto
sudo dpkg -i nautilus-sendto_0.8-2ubuntu3_i386.deb

What is required to make this official? There are several other repositories that offer beta 6 packages for Edgy. Is it just a matter of someone uploading a package to the edgy-backports repository?

This is rejected for the same reason it was rejected earler:

 * By backporting, every gaim extension/plugin in the repositories will have to be sent for a rebuild, which is an intrusive operation
 * There is a good chance that some plugins won't build, and therefore a new version needs to be backported
    * There is a good chance that some of these new versions don't backport
