Hi - Thanks for the bug report! The description raises some questions because the filenames should either be entirely ciphertext or entirely plaintext but your filename is a mix of ciphertext and plaintext. How did you create the file and what full command are you using to try to remove it?

Hello Tyler,

thanks for your reply!

I did not create those files, I found them around. Some belong to Steam (I have a bunch in ~/.steam/public), some others are in the ~/.cache/thumbnail/ directory.

Let me know if you want more details or if you want me to do anything, I'll be more than happy to help!

Forgot to add: I tried to delete them with rm, rm -rf the directory, for loop, find . -exec rm {}, nautilus, even with some ruby scripts. Everything fails with the same error (cannot remove, file name too long).

Thanks for the info.

What kernel version are you running? The output of `uname -a` would be helpful.

Hello Marco Ceresa,

I still don't know what kind of case causes such problem, so could you give us more information 1)How did you mount eCryptfs? 2)How did you find this problem that is generated from eCryptfs? 3)Are there any error or warning in your log or dmesg?

Jason
