1.6 touchpad gestures missing

I just did a clean install of Easy Peasy 1.6 and the touchpad does not have full functionality. For example, two important gestures are missing: two-finger tap for middle-click (for opening links in tabs) and three-finger tap for right-click (to bring up the context menu). Default seems to be two-finger tap brings up the context menu and there is nothing to simulate a middle click. The GUI for the touchpad doesn't offer options to change these settings. How do I enable full functionality for the touchpad? My netbook is an Asus Eee PC 1000 (no HA or any other prefixes or suffixes).
