Wifi connection dies quickly, unable to reconnect

Bug Description
WiFi connection drops a few minutes after boot and then keeps asking for a password to re-join the network but never successfully does so. I have several other Windows WiFi clients on this network with no such problems. The netbook is an eeepc 1000 using the rt2860sta driver. Dmesg just keeps spitting out this over and over:
