Bug Description

Using forum posts, I had to manually hack my graphics xorg.conf file since video playback was choppy with the default install of Easy Peasy that is now on the main download page (as of 1/28/10). I wish this could be addressed in the new version. I'm not completely sure what this fix did, if anything, but video playback of just a simple .avi movie from a usb2.0 drive can now work in VLC with Compiz running after I did it, so something must have worked. Here's some more info on what specifically I changed: The last three lines were added by me, and only the first five lines were there originally, and I wonder how useful having the same line repeated three times is..

Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"
Option "AccelMethod" "UXA"
Option "AccelMethod" "UXA"
Option "AccelMethod" "UXA"
Option "EXAOptimizeMigration" "true"
Option "MigrationHeuristic" "greedy"
Option "Tiling" "true"

What I changed seems very similar to the sample xorg.conf file posted here. Should I be able to add even more detail which the slackwiki project suggests in this section?

As a simple XP/Mac user, somewhat new to linux, making such a change took a lot of time. I think it should be much easier for EEEpc users to optimize their graphics card in the future. I did this change with the same amount of memory: 1 gb in my computer before and after, although afterward I upgraded to 2gb and that made an even greater difference on overall performance. I'm thinking most users will just upgrade their memory not even knowing a difference can be made.

Thanks for your time and I can answer any questions via email.
