On log out - recursive Authentication Error message

Bug Description
When I log out or try to switch users, I get the login screen but a message comes out right away - "Authentication error". When I click ok it comes out again and so on. I am not able to move the message, to enter any login information or to go to the session menu - it just loops that message. The only way to fix it is to do a cold restart after which my laptop is set to automatic login.
I am using a Samsung NC10 with Easy Peasy 1.0
