Bug Description
I'm not sure this is the right place actually, but I can't seem to find the original source of the library part.
But basically: A library licensed under GPL? Are you serious about forcing people who use this library to use GPL? Normally people would release libraries under LGPL not to force people using the library to use GPL themselves.
Due to the GPL the library is basically useless if I wan't my packages licensed under MIT/X11 or BSD (which I personally consider more sane than GPL). Although I could license the package under GPL and then my source parts under X11/BSD/whatever it would be kind of misleading, since I don't mind people doing the things with my software that the GPL forbid. I would also like my package to show it's "real face".
