Bug Description
I guess this application (Earcandy) sounds just to good to be true. If I understand it right... when I play music in a player like Noise, Rhythmbox or Qmmp ( I use qmmp :D ) and than click on some youtube video it should quiet the music down and play the video normally, right? Than when video is over, put the music back again.
What happens to me: When I start Earcandy it just turns everything mute. It's the same if I start it first, or when already playing music. I go to System settings -> Sound -> Applications. Here I see two entries "ALSA plug-in [qmmp]" and "EarCandy". If I play a youtube video I get two more. One for Firefox and another "EarCandy". Both earcandies are 100% , qmmp and firefox are both at around 5% volume. If I increase the volume of qmmp it just goes back down immediately. Same for Firefox.
Sorry for this newby report but this EarCandy is pretty cool and it has to be fixed... :)

Sadly, Ear Candy has not been updated since 2009 so it's likely a problem that will never be fixed.
