One episode/title of box set results in Error reading MENU VOB: -1 != 512

Trying to rip a box set of Teachers, first disc (4 episodes) rips fine, second disc all but the 3rd title (7th episode) rip fine.

About 300 megs into title 3 dvdbackup prints;

Error reading MENU VOB: -1 != 512

to terminal and then dies. The whole DVD, including that episode plays fine in vlc, any help would be appreciated.

dvdbackup failed to read the MENU VOB file. This could be due to scratches or due to copy protection. I will change this error message to print the file name and exact position of the read error.

JRaspass, can you confirm that we are talking about "Teachers The Complete Series" sold in the UK with EAN 6867441008392?

I happen to own the box as well and already tried reproducing the problem by ripping the second disc with dvdbackup -M, but it worked as expected.

There wasn't even a single unreadable block that had to be padded, so as far as "copy protection" is concerned the disc looks actually rather boring.
