Sometimes strange white lines appear on the window decorations

Bug Description

I can't consistently tell when it happens, but sometimes white artifacts appear on the top window borders. It usually happens for me when In nautilus I right click > open as administrator, and then play around with the window. It happens for other applications too, but as mentioned is not consistent. I attached a screenshot of what it looks like.

Does this behavior happen with other themes? Seems like an artifact produced by compiz+gwd.

Yes, it seems to be a compiz thing as I haven't observed it happening using
metacity yet, although sometimes smaller artifacts appear for a split second
or so when resizing a window while using metacity WM. When using compiz,
sometimes very small white artifacts appear in other themes, but they are
usually very minor; I haven't seen artifacts like the ones pictured in the
screenshot in other themes.

I don't think this is an issue with this theme. Maybe it's just really noticeable with this one because it's dark. Performance-wise, the metacity theme should be quite fast.

Changed in dusttheme:
status: New → Invalid

For what it's worth, I've seen this problem also in the New Wave theme, but
not in other themes with dark menus such as Shiki-Colors. I'm not sure what
the difference is between them.

I'm also having this bug. Replacing Compiz by Metacity fixes the problem. But others themes (Human and NewHuman) don't encounter this bug with Compiz. Tell me if I can provide any useful information.

Sorry, I'd like this bug reopened because what happens to the Dust metacity happens regularly (I mean a few times every hour) and is visually unappealing (see attachment), but *does not* happen with other similarly dark themes such as Shiki-Colors. It does happen though with other Dust-derived metacity themes, as well as the NewWave theme.

I think you could probably replicate it by a) using Compiz, and b) disabling Click to focus (i.e. using focus-follows-mouse mode). The brownish bar happens when I flick my mouse to change focus to different applications. I can reproduce it regularly by flicking my mouse between a Nautilus and Firefox window quickly again and again. Please tell me if you need any more information. Thanks!

Just as an addendum, the screenshot in the previous message is using the Dust metacity but with different controls. Thanks!
