Bug Description

Relevant bits of the traceback:
Traceback (most recent call last):

File "/usr/lib/
answer = auth.request(
File "/usr/lib/
url, method=http_method, headers=headers, body=request_body)
File "/usr/lib/

File "/usr/lib/
return self._sslobj.
SSLError: The read operation timed out
The root cause appears to be that various methods of U1Backend call ubuntuone.
