duplicity does not have numeric uid/gid support

Bug Description

it seems that duplicity (0.5.17) does not store numeric uid/gid. this is especially annoying if you backup and then restore complete virtual servers which have other uid/gid <-> name mappings than the host system. please add support for numeric-ids or just make it the default, it is the sanest option anyway.

at least by now duplicity 0.6.14 duplcity stores numeric ids, which are used in case the name pendants cannot be found or --numeric-owner is switched on.

From bug 778967 comment 5:

Out of curiosity: Why is it that you called your option "--numeric-owner", not "--numeric-ids" like in rsync? I believe that many users are familiar with rsync. Naming the options alike would ease usage. The same goes for "--exclude-other-filesystems" vs. "--one-file-system".
