Bug Description

Duplicity 0.8.09 (snap release 48) seems not work with S3 + https proxy (python 3 / boto bug ?)

It may be related to a known bug on boto / python3 ?

sock.sendall("CONNECT %s HTTP/1.0\r\n" % host) TypeError: a bytes-like object is required, not 'str'

It work with version 0.8.08 / snap release 33
