Sound effects and music are disabled. They should be re-enabled to improve the game experience.

What was the original reasoning behind disabling the audio? Will the new multimedia backend solve the issue so that it can be re-enabled?

It was disabled because at the time (and indeed still?) audio doesn't work on the Nexus 7 image, and this would crash/lock the application. It could/should be re-enabled via the new backend, yes.

Will enable sound effects, but music needs to wait until bug 1315454 is fixed.

Sound works for me now, however it cannot be disabled (lp:1350560) and it interrupts animations (lp:#1350559).
