Bug Description

I’m rapidly coming to the conclusion that Drawers does not play well with other languages. Every odd bug I’ve looked at closely seems to come back to these kind of problems.

The specific scenario for me is creating an AppMenu drawer for Games. Generation of the Quicklist fails because Minecraft.desktop contains an Exec line with accented characters. When first generated (after first opening of the drawer - see attachment) the Games.desktop file is truncated right after the Desktop Action line, leaving out any apps that would have been processed after the file containing the accented characters. When you use Pin to Quicklist from the open drawer, other apps can be added, but the one with accented characters is added *without* an Exec line and so does not work.

I’ve also noticed that (after fixing Games.desktop) every time the drawer is opened (without doing anything else) the Minecraft Desktop Action section changes - the Exec line is alternately moved to the top or bottom of the section. Nothing else in the file is changed. This is harmless, but odd.

A manual drawer including the same Minecraft.desktop file also truncates its .desktop file when you attempt to edit the Minecraft entry from the open drawer.
