I don't think we should add the VTK path to LD_LIBRARY_PATH in dolfin.conf. It would be better to let Dorsal install its own .conf file, for instance dorsal.conf or fenics.conf, and source dolfin.conf from there. We could then add additional paths into this file based on the platform Dorsal is building for.
I'm retargeting this bug to Dorsal.
