Changing the available date

Bug Description

If a Librarian or Manager manually makes a document available (by selecting 'make available'), then would it be possible for the metadata to be automatically changed so that the 'available date' is then shown to be the date it was actually 'made available' rather than the originally intended date?

This now ties in with our request for customising document library links (117759)...

Thsi has been fixed. The system uses the date of the actual action as opposed to the date in the setting.

This doesn't appear to be working? I submitted a new document and originally put the available date down as 13th September '07. However, I then approved the document and clicked on 'make available' to make it available today (7th September) - i.e. six days earlier than on the form. The available date should therefore have changed to 7th September, but it didn't - it remained in the DL as 13th September in both the DL and on the Silva generated web page that contained the DL links.

I even deleted the service_doclib and the DL listing object and created new ones and then 'updated' just in case this made any difference, but it didn't.

Downgrading this to in-progress. (We really need a testing status.)

We didn't do an update of the server, so no wonder it doesn't work on arana. :)

Ah, okay.

I didn't state this, but all testing is being done on the test Zope instance on arana, which I think you should be able to see as well now? Can someone let me know when the update has been done so we can test this bug again?

Are we able to test this yet? 10 days have now passed by?

I will try to upgrade the document library on arana later today. This is not yet being used for any production purposes yet, correct?

Yes, as far as I am aware arana is not a live server yet.

The DL on arana is currently not running due to multiple upgrade issues, I will continue on this tomorrow.

As of today, this is now working. No idea why, but I'm not complaining (unless it happens again!)
