Weather applet reports: Invalid Location

I'm running the development release on Docky (2.1.1) on a 10.04 machine. Often, but not always, when the computer resumes from suspend the weather applet tries to fetch the weather data from iGoogle and eventually reports "invalid weather location". It always finds the correct data upon a reboot. Also, if I right click on the weather applet and choose settings, then quickly switch the weather source from Google to either of the other options then back to Google the data loads just fine.

The location I'm using is pws.kcasanta102

This might be related to the problem I'm having: the weather launches/displays perfectly, but the applet always displays 0°F.

Sorry, forgot to add; the suspicious part looks like the pango_layout_set_text function when configuring the applet.
