Bug Description

When I try to restore a wine application from docky, its background doesn't change automatically to match the icons colors like it does with native applications. I have to click again on the icon to make it appear. I can also selected another app then switch back to the wine application. In fact, it just happens when changing the window state from minimized to restored or maximised.

I tried with the "wine notepad" and spotify and I had the exact same problem so my guess is it's not application-specific.

(I'm using docky from the dev ppa so it's the latest revision)

I added three attachments to make things clearer :

- capture.png : spotify window is minimized.
- capture-2.png : I clicked once on the icon, spotify window has been restored but the background of the docky launcher hasn't changed, as if the window wasn't really given the focus after being restored.
- capture-3.png : If I click again on the icon, the Spotify window is given the focus and the launcher background changes.

I tried to restart my computer and made sure I really had the latest version of Docky, but I still have the bug with wine applications.?field.comment=I added three attachments to make things clearer :

Ok well, all I have is Notepad and it works fine for that.

Can you please try this with the latest revision (rev 1351)? We redid a lot of window matching stuff and this may have been fixed in that process.

Using revision 1490 this bug is not fixed. Minimizing then maximizing notepad or Spotify will not give the application colored background on docky. Clicking the icon once more, however, gives it proper color.

I can confirm this.

The problem is clicking to restore the window restores the window but does not focus it.

Please note: the gnome panel taskbar seems to have the exact same issue. This might be a problem with Compiz.

I'm not sure if this was fixed at some point, but I can't reproduce this with any of the wine apps I use (mp3tag, dvd shrink, dvd fab 5). Is the OP still having this problem?

Confirming (again) on PPA. As I said Chris, I think you just don't understand exactly what the problem is. Here is what I did:

1) run notepad.exe
2) minimize the window (doing this focused Chromium for me)
3) click on the icon on the dock

Observed: the window pops up to be on top of the Z-order, but *is not focused*. Click again and it focuses (and the dock shows the highlight at this point).
