Bug Description

I'm using the last version of Lucid, updated five minutes ago.

After the restart, I can't get Docky work.

It's set on autostart, so it pop ups but immediately crash. If I try to open it again, it crashes. Can I give you more details? Just let me know.

Before updating everything worked, except the gmail docklet.

hey are you sure that this is a duplicate?

docky doesn't work at all, it's not just a gmail docklet problem.

Look at your crash trace, its gmail trying to use gnome-keyring (which doesnt work in Lucid).

You can disable GMail plugin by editing the gconf directly and removing it. That should hopefully let you start Docky.

The key you want to edit is: /apps/docky-2/Docky/Interface/DockPreferences/Dock1/Plugins

This assumes GMail is on your first dock (if you have more than one).

Alex: To remove the GMail plugin via gconf, do this:

Run "gconf-editor" in a terminal
Go to "apps > docky-2 > Docky > Interface > DockPreferences > Dock1"
In the field "SortList", delete the string ",GMailDockItem"

Alex: if you can, please pull revision 1234 and re-enable the GMail docklet and see if it works now. If it doesnt, you know how to disable it again. :-)

I am assuming you are compiling from source. If not, you will have to wait for our PPA to catch up.

I'm running r1242 from the PPA and it seems to be ok, Robert.

Updated and tried with the 1242, but it's still the same: the gmail docklet
works until I close and re-launch Docky. Then, Docky crashes.
