Bug Description

In the old Docky, you could click on the Do icon in order to search for, launch, and add apps to the dock.

This functionality is sorely missed.

That functionality is what Do provides. Thus, your bug is actually asking for integration with GNOME Do. :-)

With gnome-do docky I would drop icons on desktop and drag them from there - however, the bug with icons means that with docky it works better to start the apps and then pin them.

Many apps (like Miro, picasa (usually a Wine icon - it would be nice to be able to modify this to find an icon in the .docky folder first, then maybe pixmaps, before going into the theme) appear normally in tray (stalonetray) and gnome-do docky, but not in the new version.

Is there any improvement since then? The development version is now Docky 2.2.0 bzr docky r1805 ppa, so the milestone is reached! :)

I would also like to see GNOME Do offered for integration into Docky. I'm not too big a fan of static content in docks - there should be an option for docks to become populated with most used apps and locations as gathered by e.g. Zeitgeist.
