Please make window previews work with Mutter

could you please make the DockbarX window previews work with Mutter?

As already mentioned in:

it seems like it should work with Mutter (or Muffin, the Cinnamon fork of Mutter), see for example:

Sorry, even if window thumnails exists it doesn't mean there are any way to access them. I know that gnome-shell and cinamon extenisions can have window thumbnails but I don't think there are any way for programs that are not extensions or part of the shell to use them. I might be wrong but my (admittedly very small) amount of research on this topic has not given me anything useful.
