Please try again with --debug. That error is far from critical...

What theme are you using?

Do you mean you run Do and can't get it to show (but it's still running)? Or you run Do and it crashes? Does it happen every time you run Do?

Changed in do:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Incomplete

Shame on me, it now occurs to me that Do could be running and not showing up.

I'm using the Docky theme, and desktop effects (i.e. compiz) are on and working. This package worked at first, then broke for no apparent reason, and is now working again after a reboot (following today's kernel security updates). I might have been a bit too trigger-happy in filing this bug, for which I apologize, and I wouldn't object to it being closed right now as invalid. I'd be grateful if you could please leave it open for a day or two just in case this should happen again.

Thanks for your time looking into this, and sorry for the fuss.

I can actually confirm this behavior. The good news is restarting Do usually fixes it right up.

I can confirm this, it happens almost every time my computer starts up. I'm using the docky theme. Gnome-do is running and still taking up space on the screen but you just cant see do.

I think this is caused by one of the new docklets (weather, volume...).
To me, it began to happen since I installed them and it disappeared since I removed them.

Read the linked log. It was caused by the docklets (weather and gmail, to be precise) and is fixed in Docky 2 but will NOT be fixed in Docky 1.
