I'm getting an X icon instead of the gnome-Do icon in the notification area. Also I don't get the proper icon in the application menu (inside accesories)

I also have this issue, after several installs/uninstalls between stable and unstable versions. I have a stable install right now (after a full uninstall, deleted config files, reset .config path, etc) and it still shows exactly like the image above.

same. weird. didn't have this problem before i reinstalled ubuntu 8.04.3 recently. hrm...
where is that icon located, anyone know?

err actually. i just realized that if you download gnome-do.png (the icon) from wheverever... you can copy it to /usr/share/pixmaps, and it'll automatically recognize it and fix the icon problem. fixed for me anyway =)
