I have a blueprint that would add a similar behavior in a way that is (IMHO) more consistent with current Gnome+Compiz/Mutter status quo. You can find it here: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/do/+spec/docky-expose-plugin

I would make it an option so that the user could chose between "scale" and "window selector".
