Docky could have a "show desktop" applet

Bug Description

Docky is a very nice interface to gnome-do and with some improvements - like some of the ones already reported as bugs here - can really replace 1 gnome-panel or someday both panels. One good addiction to docky would be a "show desktop icon". Don't know if it's in the developers plans but since you have a trash applet a desktop one could be useful as well.

You can easily make your own "Show Desktop" applet. Create a script that
sends your window manager a show-desktop message over dbus, and index that
script with the Files & Folders plugin. Better yet, create a new entry in
your main menu with a nice icon, then add the launcher to Docky.

the *best* solution, which I think I mentioned in the other bug, would be to
add an IRunnable item to the window manager plugin. There should be a simple
call in libwnck to show the desktop. You could then add this IRunnable to
docky, and have yourself a show desktop button. Ever wanted to give back to
a FOSS program you love? This would be an ideal way :D you'd be a hero to
everyone who commented on this bug.

Well my coding skill are limited - I know a little python -. I don't know if in what language the plugins are written in. (c#?).
Well I could hack the code just to see its like there, but I would probably run into dead ends quite often :). I'll check the source anyway.

yes, C#. You can also use Boo, which is similar to python but with a type
system. Very slick.

Feel free to pop into IRC (#gnome-do on freenode) and pick our brains, we're
happy to help.

Thanks Alex! I will check it out. Hope the code is not too scary. Maybe this will make me motivated to really learn how to code.
