Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-do
Attempting to open a directory such as "~/" or "~/Desktop" doesn't work as of recent times. Gnome-Do recognizes that it is a directory and offers to open it, but it silently fails. The terminal output is:
Error showing url: Error stating file '/home/
It seems to be expanding it and then appending the entire entry.
In addition, the error perhaps contains a typo, where "stating" should be "starting".
Thanks! :)

Yeah, I see that. xdg-open needs us to expand ~ before passing it the path.
