Bug Description

I was browsing folders using the little drop down menu (don't know the real name), for example I type in "Pic" to bring up the Pictures folder, I press down, this brings up the Pictures folder and all other entries, I press the right arrow to go down the folder tree/folder directories.
I cannot seem to do this under GNOME Do 0.6.0

Works for me. You may need the "files and folders" plugin enabled. All of my plugins were disabled after upgrading.

This might be the same problem that I'm seeing. Using Ubuntu 8.10.

If I type 'home'->enter, it shows 'Starting Home Folder' in application bar. That appears for ~10 seconds and then disappears, but the home folder is not opened. However, if I enter 'computer', that opens immediately.

I've just tried enabling the 'Files and folders' plugin and confirm what Lee is reporting - files and folders do not open when accessed via Do. There's no warnings or messages issued.

I've got a similar problem with GnomeDo 0.6.0
I can't access to some gftp folders.. the name of the folder is shown up when I'm typing the name, but if I press Enter nothing happens.

Files & Folders plugin is enabled, in fact I can access to local folders without problems. The folder is accessible by using the normal way (i've added the link to that folder in my Gnome Bookmarks)

GnomeDo 0.6.0, Gnome 2.22.3, ArchLinux User

On Intrepid I can open folders, but when I try to open my Home folder I can only "run" it.

The home folder item is a launcher. So do you mean you cannot browse a
single folder?

We should rethink that home folder launcher. It's kind of confusing, and not
very useful.

Gnome-Do treats the home folder as a launcher and not as a folder. When I attempt to reach my home folder through gnome-do it fails to recognize that it's a directory and only gives me the options to run, copy, or assign an alias. In hardy I was able to open my home folder through gnome-do. All other folders are recognizable as directories and can be opened as such. Sorry, if my original post was a bit confusing...

I should also add that if I select the option to "run" my home folder, it attempts to launch it but fails and the folder does not open. Please let me know if you need any other information. Thanks and great project!

We never thought of it in the first place. It's just a .desktop file
in /usr/share/applications.

This problem only occurs when gnome-do is started automatically (from gnome session).
If I close gnome-do and reopen it, the home folder opens OK.
I'm running gnome-do 0.6.1.0 on Intrepid, but I had the exact same problem with gnome-do 0.6.0. I hadn't this problem with 0.5.X.
I use to open the home folder from gnome-do all the time and it'll be better if it could be recognized as a folder and not a launcher.

If I change the launch command in /usr/share/applications/nautilus-home.desktop from

Exec=nautilus --no-desktop
to
Exec=/usr/bin/nautilus --no-desktop

the issue seems to be resolved for me.

Scratch that. It seemed to make a difference, but after a restart the problem was back as per Gilberto's comment above.

I am confirming this problem on Intrepid RC. On a side note, you can use the 'open' command with your username to open your home folder. Although, it is more tedious.
